Why make your own energy gels when they’re readily available in most outdoor stores?

Simple.

  1. The per unit cost is way lower. Typical energy gel costs €3 per unit, whereas, if you make these gels in batches of 3 or 4, the per unit cost is 0.50c.

  2. Less plastic waste, and no torn off strips of sticky gel packaging by the side of the trail.

  3. Can be adapted to your taste and needs. Don’t like pineapple, no problem, replace with a squeeze of orange.
