WHAT WE DO:
Sustainable business practices and making products that last are not only deeply rooted in our DNA but mean we take responsibility toward people and planet on a daily basis. Our CSR team develops strategies for more sustainable business models and communicates transparently about our progress in these areas. They foster close working relationships with other stakeholders and organizations. While our quality managers ensure our products meet the highest standards. These findings are incorporated into our product development, as is feedback from our repair service team, who help to extend product lifecycles by carrying out skilled repairs.
 
Multi-skilled responsibilities that span the product lifecycle 

WHAT WE DO:
As product managers, we have in-depth knowledge of target audiences and market trends as well as of the products themselves and the processes for planning, projects, and production within the company. Acting as the link between product development, marketing and sales, we manage and control the entire product lifecycle. Which means we have a demanding but key role to play and are ultimately responsible for ensuring our products succeed. To meet the demands of our role, we need good interdisciplinary skills and must be able to develop strategic concepts, monitor processes and make decisions based on a range of complex factors.

WHAT WE DO:
The technicians and designers in our team are always one step ahead of the times and are quick to recognize consumer needs and opportunities. We then translate these needs into concepts and groundbreaking designs, using new materials and coming up with innovative functional solutions. Achieving sustainability for our products is key and is realized through making them durable and long-lasting as well as ensuring repairability. We also consider other important aspects such as production feasibility, costs, and user-friendliness. Following the initial creative phase of product development, we work closely with the product management team to steer the development process from making prototypes through to series production.

 
Process-oriented pace setters for the logistical flow of goods

WHAT WE DO:
Our procurement duties are wide ranging, encompassing supplier management, demand analysis, and the establishment of quality standards as well as the purchasing of goods, including operational orders and procurement logistics. For our supply chain management on the other hand, we ensure the effective organization and management of our goods transportation to the client, whether that’s via distribution centers, to individual retailer, or directly to end consumers. A key element of our success in this regard lies in having our own central warehouse in Gersthofen, where our dedicated logistics team manages the warehouse and inventory and ensures that deliveries run smoothly.

 
Market-savvy communicators bridging the gap between the needs of target groups and brand claims

WHAT WE DO:
From developing marketing and communications strategies and managing the brand, through to assisting in product development and the planning and execution of events and supporting the sales team — in the Marketing Team we cover a range of functions that all contribute to the success and growth of deuter. Our team is made up of a wide variety of roles with specific expertise and consists of graphic design, trade marketing, digital marketing, content production, events & trade shows, PR and sports marketing. We work every day to make the deuter brand come alive and to present our fantastic products in the best possible light. A good level of creativity is required, as are precision, analytical skills and an understanding of business management.

WHAT WE DO:
In the Sales department, our job is to sell our products to customers at home and abroad and to generate optimum sales figures for the business. It may sound simple but it’s very challenging since we cater to a wide variety of customers and sales channels and strive to operate both at an individual and a strategic level. We serve brick-and-mortar sports and bike retail operations in Germany as well as international distributors and our international subsidiaries, and even online retailers or major platforms like Amazon. Despite having such wide-ranging sales areas, one thing we all have in common is that we are talented salespeople with boundless powers of persuasion! Our aim is to balance the service we offer our customers with the business interests of deuter so that all parties are happy in the end.
